ProPilot Aviation was rebranded, as a continuation of Skyroamers and AeroVision Inc. in 2020 by airline pilot, corporate pilot, DPE, professor, textbook author, flight instructor, and aviation expert, Captain Ed Valdez.
In 2004, Capt. Valdez began teaching at Cypress College as an adjunct professor in the Aviation & Travel Careers department. Now, after working in the aviation/airline industry for more than 45 years, he works full time to assist future pilots in achieving their dreams and goals. ProPilot Aviation is a culmination of the knowledge and experience of decades in the field, brought to you through e-learning, video courses, and supporting materials.

From Our Founder
Captain Ed Valdez has been in the aviation industry for over 50 years. He is a retired United Airlines Pilot and is currently a DPE (FAA Designated Pilot Examiner), Gulfstream pilot and instructor. He is an ATP rated pilot with Type ratings in the Boeing 727, 737, 757, 767, Airbus A319/320, Gulfstream GII, GIII, GIV, Cirrus Vision Jet SF-50, and DC-3. As a professor and director of a collegiate aviation program he is honored to assist in the training of the next generation of aviation pilots. As a Gulfstream instructor he gets to train and work with some of our industry’s top professional pilots such as NASA Test Pilots, Northrup Grumman Test Pilots and Military Pilots. As an airline Captain with Champion Air, he was a B-727 Captain, Line Check Airman, Director of Training, Simulator Instructor and Ground instructor. Ed enjoys giving back and assisting pilots in obtaining their dreams and of becoming the best pilot that they can become.
